THREE MARRIAGES

ONE DIVORCE AS ENDING Three marriage ceremonies were necessary in Europe before Mrs Eugenie Schwartz could call Mr Sam Schwartz her husband. But it took just one stroke of tho pen in America to be rid of him. Mrs Schwartz explained the matter to tho divorce court whicli granted her freedom from husband Sam. “ First wo were married in Brussels, during the war. Sam went to Coblenz witli the Army of Occupation, and I had to marry him again because tho Brussels marriage licence was written in Flemish, and, therefore, declared illegal. “ A few weeks later wo went to Paris. There wc had to be married a third time because the German wedding certificate was declared to be invalid. Then wo came to America. \Vc did not get on well, and I wanted a divorce.” Tho clerk of the court signed his name, and three marriages were declared null and void. “ I like America,” said Mrs Schwartz.
