A malicious false alarm brought the City Fire Brigade out to the corner of Sidey and Bauchop streets at 12.11 this afternoon.
In the 1,002 voluntary hospitals in England and Scotland, with their ' 73,186 beds, more than 1,000,000 inpatients and 5,000,000 out-patients are treated during the year. A wreath in the shape of a cobra was placed on the grave of Miss Joan Procter, late curator of reptiles at the London Zoo, in All Saints’ Churchyard, Leighton Buzzard.
