ROYAL LIMOND, SOLMAR, AND GOLD PAPER WIN DOUBLES ANOTHER GOOD CROWD AT WINGATUi After the heavy rain on Sunday, the weather cleared up nicely for the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s -Summer Meeting and the perfect summer day attracted - a good attendance of townspeople to Wingatui yesterday _ afternoon. The coarse was again in excellent order, and towards the close of the meeting, fast. ■:> The racing was again interesting and clean.. First day’s form worked out well, and Royal Limond, Solmar, and Gold Paper repeated their first day’s successes, while several other horses, including Aspiring, Golden King, Kakara, and Hot Tea, who had run prominently the first day, finished close up to the winners in their respective races. Mr MTvor’s starting was again right up to his best standard, despite the fact that he had several very unruly horses to deal with. The management of the meeting was good, and it is satisfactory to be able to repeat that the fixture will turn out satisfactorily also from a financial point of view. The totalisator handled £11,303, as compared with £16,097 10s last year, when there, were eight races on the card each day. This makes a total for the meeting of £22,991, as against £33,315 in 1930, a decrease of £10,324. At the 1929 meeting the amount handled was £45,562. Concluding results in detail:— ST.
