’MOTHER'S MILLIONS'
COMING REGENT ATTRACTION The machinations of designing financiers, husband hunters, social aspirants, and “ racketeers ’■’ against the little daughters, _ sisters, and sons of the rich, are depicted in a special talking picture, entitled ‘ Mother’s Millions,’ which will be presented at the Regent Theatre on Friday next. The play from which ‘ Mother’s Millions’ was taken is by Howard M'Kent Barnes, and a notable cast was assembled for its portrayal. May Robson, the famous stage actress whose name is a household word, makes her screen debut in the production. A group of the foremost younger players of pictures, appears. These include James Hall, of ‘Hell’s Angels’ fame; Frances Dade, who made a great impression in ‘ Dracula ’ and ‘ Seed ’; and Lawrence Gray, well-known leading man. Other principal roles are in the capable hands of Edmund Breese, the stage star whose screen work includes ° All Quiet on the Western Front ’; and Elinor Flynn and Lilian Harmer. The story shows in sensational fashion the dangers to which rich young folk of to-day are exposed, and turns the spotlight on big-scale racketeering in the financial district of New York and Washington. One of the highlights of the story is the method used to win sons ana daughters of the rich away from their own families, and ruin them financially; and in this instance the biggest of the financial “racketeers” does not hesitate to carry his machination to the highest court in the land. A strong love story runs through the picture, with James Hall and Frances Dade as its protagonists. Although of traps arc set by financial enemies, their romance finally achieves a happy ending. ‘ Mother’s Millions ’ was directed by James Flood, from an adaptation by Jyjnnifred, Dunn,;
