DETECTIVE ATTACKED ONLOOKERS REFUSE ASSISTANCE* Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, MELBOURNE, December 27. At the Taronga Zoo hundreds of people refused to go to the assistance of a detective who was struggling with' three men whom he caught picking pockets. “ These men have been robbing you,” yelled the detective in desperation, as the men continued to attack; him, but not a hand was raised to help* Two detectives eventually came to the rescue.
