JOHNS BEATS HUGHES . [Per United Press Association.] WESTPORT, December 27. In a 16-round professional bout last night, Harry Johns, light-weight champion of New Zealand, defeated Archie Hughes (Australia), on points. Johns, boxing brilliantly, held tho ascendancy all through, and ran out a comfortable winner on points. Hughes was popular with tho crowd, and fought a sporting fight, but Johns was too clever.
