DISASTROUS FIRE
JOHANNESBURG UNIVERSITY PRICELESS BOOKS DESTROYED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CAPE TOWN, December 23. The main block of the Johannesburg University was destroyed by fire early this morning. The library included a collection of priceless historical documents and 25,000 books. This portion was burned out, and only the wings are left. The damage to the buildings is £IOO,OOO.
