PRESERVING STEEL. Any steel articles may be preserved from rust by placing a lump of freshly burnt lime in the drawer or case in which they arc kept. If the articles aro to bo moved put the lime in a muslin bag. Articles in use should be placed in a box nearly filled with thoroughly pulverised slaked lime.
