The Hope of Dunedin Lodge, No. 155* held an open social evening ou' Wednesday, parlour _ games, _ interspersed with musical items, being thaf order of the evening. The sisters provided a very dainty supper. Bro* South, C.T., presided. The Silver Star Juvenile Temple* No. 9, annual break-up ceremony took place on Friday evening. Bro. E.South, C.T. of the Hope of Dunedin! Lodge, was present and presided. Sis-] ter South, sen., S.J.W., was present! and was heartily welcomed after her] long illness. Prize winners were:—>' Boys’ attendance prizes—Bro. A* Rackley, Bro. Tom Russell, and Bro* Jack South (present all the year);!, girls—Sisters P. Rackley . and Mavis’ Raynor. * Membership-Sister Mavis Roynor and Bro. Jack Rowe. Bro* Gore was presented with a moroccocovered diary in gratitude for supplying the temple with sweets; Sister, South, sen., with a small parcel; and' Sister Raynor with a bouquet for her, work in connection with the' temple* At this stage Father Christmas arrived and presented all the children with a' gift off the Christmas tree. A number,! of children rendered items, and supper.i brought a pleasant evening to a close* The Radiant Morn Juvenile Temple,. No. 21, held its last official meeting of! the year and break-up on Saturday! evening in the Mornington Methodist] Sunday School Hall. Bro. W. G. lies*; superintendent, ably assisted by Bro.J Rae and Bro. Hilton, D.S.J.W., pre-| sided over a large attendance of. members and friends. The meeting took the form of a concert and social, whilst a good number of children took part in the fancy dress and character representation parade. A large number of the temple members rendered items, consisting of solos, recitations, violin solos, flute and pianoforte selections, and the following visitors also fur-thered-the ..harmony... of the even..ug .Miss/-..>:ssnell (solo)* Bro. Cochrane (mandolin selection),- ’ Bro. Hilton and Bro. Restieaux (solos), Bros. Wiison and Cameron (recitations). The prize-winners in the fancy dress were,: —Sister Burgess (gipsy), Sister Reeves (pussy), Bro*’ L. Andrews (sundowner). Bro. SJ. Richard (hard-up), and Bro. E. Free-, man (Indian). Prizes presented by* the superintendent Sister Mrs W. A,jj lies and Sister Mrs Cameron (2) fonbringing the most new members wert won by Sister Burgess, Bro, Hornal, ; Bros. S. and R. Richards.
