A CHAMPION BEATEN In the Wellington Association’s ranking matches on Saturday at Miramar Bliss Dulcie Nicholls obtained a hardfought victory over Blrs H. 81. Dykes, the New Zealand champion, 7-9, 6-4, 6-4. In the mixed doubles N. R. C. Wilson and Miss D. Nicholls beat D. G. France and Blrs H. M. Dykes, 6-3, 6-4.—Press Association telegram. GOLF ST. GLAIR CLUB A large field started in the bogey handicap on the Corstorphine links on Saturday, when good conditions prevailed, but rain interfered with play, and, as a consequence, a number of competitors failed to complete the round. J. Hart (15) led the field with a score of 6 up, and W. Bl'Kenzie (12) won the senior section with a score of 4 up. The following were best cards returned :—Seniors: W. Bl'Kenzie (12) 4 up, C. B.
