DRESS REFORM IN NAPIER
SUMMER CLOTHES FOR SHOP ASSISTANTS [Per United Press Association.] NAPIER. December 19. Napier retailer., and male shop assistants have decided to abandon coats, waistcoats, and braces during shopping hours. From to-day the men in the shops are wearing' white silk shirts with collar, tie, and trousers supported by a belt. The retailers are still accommodated in two blocks of community buildings which the Government provided to meet their needs after the earthquake.
