B, Bennett), on his return on Friday or Saturday, may make a statement on the coming Imperial Conference. _ In the meantime no official comment is forthcoming on tho suggestion of Sir Edward Grigg, in London, before the Royal Empire Society, for tho appointment of separate dominion technical commissioners to perform the preliminary work. The holding of the conference as late as September or October next is considered unlikely by Government officials, the impression being that the conference will bo held in or before July.
