HUSBAND CHARGED WITH WIFE MURDER Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 9. (Received November 10; at 10.30 a.m.) George Tandy, unemployed asphalter, was remanded on a charge of murdering his wife. The police gave evidence that the accused, in a statement, said that his wife had made his life a hell. She was always drinking, and she had told him that she would do something to their little lad, so he thought it best that she went first, and killed her.
