CONSTITUTIONAL PROBLEMS
NEW SOUTH WALES APPEAL TO THE PRIVY COUNCIL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, November 4. Although Sir William Jowitt is without a seat in the House of Commons (he was defeated at tlm General Election) it is practically certain that he will continue to hold the office of AttorneyGeneral, and will appear in the New South Wales appeal to the Privy Council. It is semi-officially explained that Sir William Jowitt’s intervention does not mean that the British Government is taking sides, but that it is desirable that he should he present should the Privy Council wish to hear his viewpoint on constitutional issues affecting Great Britain.
