Kidson) supplied tho following at noon to-day:—The indications are for moderate westerly winds, freshening at times; there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, hut with isolated showers; barometer little movement; sea and tide moderate. Tho Wingatui, which arrived at midday from Auckland via ports; is to sail this evening for Bluff, coming hack hero on Monday to load for Tininru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Duo on Sunday from Wellington, the Waipahi is to load out at this port on Tuesday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. The Breeze js now due to-morrow from the north to load, and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Storm is to load here on Wednesday next for Wanganui via ports. THE FERRY SERVICE. The AVahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 this morning, and passengers and mails caught the south express. , DRIED FRUIT CARGO. The British-India Company’s steamer Janus, which was expected to leave Busreh on October 10 for Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney, did not sail until the 18th with the now season’s dried fruits, 'principally dates, for Australia- and New Zealand. Tho .Janus is due at Fremantle about November 16. HUIA WITH EXPLOSIVES. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. advise that the auxiliary schooner Huia is expected to berth at tho powder anchorage in tho Lower Harbour on Sunday morning to discharge explosives from Melbourne.
