OFFICIAL ASSIGNEE’S RIGHTS [From Ouk Pa|iuauentarv Reporter.] WELLINGTON, November 5. Tho Statutes Revision Committee of tho House of Representatives has added a now clause to tho Chattels Transfer Amendment Bill, which defines rights of the Official Assignee in respect of property in a bankrupt estate which is subject to tho matter of a customary hire-purchase agreement. Ho may, within one month of tho assignment or adjudication', on payment to tho vendor or bailor "of all the moneys unpaid under the agreement (whether then due or not) lake possession of the chaUel. and deal with it. dial Ids which, within two mouths of the date of adjudication, wore in the possession of a bailee, arc excluded from the provisions of the section.
