The Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay MacDonald), who, owing to other occupations during recent weeks, has been unable to devote himself to the Indian Bound Table Conference, made himself conversant yesterday with its outstanding issues in interviews with Lord Sankcy Sir Samuel Hoarc, the Aga Khan, and Sir Tej Sapru, and this morning his callers intruded Mr Gandhi and Pundit Malaviya. . It r anticipated that during his brief holiday at Lossiemouth Mr MacDonald will give careful consideration to difficult. aspects of the Indian problem, and it is hoped that on his return to Loudon next week he_ will again address himself to its major problems. Meanwhile excellent progress lias been made in committee with that part of the work of the conference which (locs not Impinge on the minorities cjucstion.
