KING’S CUP RACE WON BY SIR THOMAS LIPTON. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—l3y Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, August 4. The race for the King’s Cup at Cowes was iron by Sir Thomas Lipton’s Shamrock in 4h ICmin. It was the first time that Sir Thomas had been able to enter for this trophy. The King’s cutter Britannia was scratched from the race by His Majesty, following the accident yesterday, when the second mate was swept overboard and drowned.
