PROSPECTOR MISSING
LITTLE HOPE OF SAFETY [Per United Press Association.] NELSON, August 6. Albert Darwin Bromell, who left Tni on June 18 on a prospecting expedition to Mount Owen, has not yet been heard of, and but slight hopes are held of the man’s safety. The country is very treacherous, with pot-holes • 20ft deep, covered up to 15ft in snow. Bromell intended to go through the pass of Mount Owen (G,4ooft) to Nuggety Greek, then to make headquarters at Owen Valley.
A search party, including the man’s two brothers, intends to spend six days on the mountain.
