15,000 AMERICAN SUFFERERS PHILADELPHIA, July 21. About 15,000 persons in the United States are suffering from tho now disease known as “ jako ” paralysis, caused by drinking Jamaica ginger adulterated with a poison known as triorpho-cresyl phosphate, tho section on mental and nervous diseases of tho American Medical Associate!! was told by Drs Benjamin T. Burley and Raymond H. Goodale, of Worcester, Mass. A conservative estimate of the monetary damage, they said, was more than 50,000,000d0l (£10,000,000).
