SPEECH FROM THE THRONE Press Association—-By Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, August 3. (Received August 4, at 1.40 p.m.) Parliament was prorogued on. Monday. The Speech from the Throne said that a commercial agreement had been negotiated with Australia. _ “ The agreement will, J confidently believe, ho of advantage to both our countries. It manifests the desire of my Government to enter into similar trade agreements with other parts of the Empire." The Speech continued: 11 The Imperial Economic Conference, adjourned last November to reassemble at Ottawa in the latter part of the current year, has been postponed because of the circumstances which prevented the representation at the eonf'ereneo of all the nonunions of the Empire. lt_ is confidently believed that when this conference reassembles an Empire trade agreement of advantage to all its parts may be consummated."
