COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
There has been a good entry all round for the Competitions, and this yoar’s_ festival should be a most interesting one. The church, firms, and secondary schools choirs entries will bo well contested, while the half-hour entertainments are a feature in themselves, and as there is a very good entry for all the aforesaid the competition will bo very keen indeed. The children’s sections in elocution, music, and dancing have again attracted good entries, and the other musical, elocutionary, and dancing sections include some excellent talent. The impromptu speech as usual, has a good entry. This section always proves very interesting. The committee would like to see more entries for the dance orchestra section, but there is still time to enter. Entries will definitely close on Tuesday next, the 28th ins’t., at 5 p.m. All entries must be in by that date.
