TRINITY CIRCUIT
QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly meeting of Trinity Circuit was held at Trinity Church on Monday, tho Rev. 11. E. B.ellhouso pressing over a fair attendance. Tho balance-sheet was adopted. Tho debit balance shown was nob considered serious considering the general circumstances and tho liberal response to the earthquake funds. ' A welcome was extended by the chairman to tho Rev'. F. E. Foot, who had been doing good work in the north end ol the circuit for the past three months. N No variation was reported in Trinity membership roll. Those of Glonaven and Woodnaugh had been completely revised and brought up to date. The Chairman requested tho meeting to accept a rebate of 10 per cent, on his salary', and this offer was accepted. It was resolved that special efforts bo made throughout the circuit to reduce tho circuit debt, and that a gift Sunday bo held at Trinity for the purpose. It was further decided that efforts bo made to popularise the envelope system. Special collections for Sunday school anniversaries were authorised as follows:—Trinity, last Sunday in September; Woodbaugli, first Sunday in October; Glonaven, second Sunday in October. It was decided to lake up a special collection on tho first Sunday in August, together with Communion offering, in aid of Central Mission Relief Depot fund. A circular was received _ from the Council of Religious Education, but it was agreed that no support could bo givon^officially. Sunday school reports showed a membership of sixty-eight at Trinity, fifty-nine at Woodbaugli, and fortynine at Glenaven.
The Chairman expressed appreciation of Miss Hancock’s work with the children’s choir, their singing being a feature of the morning service. Appreciation was expressed of the faithful services of Mr Silvius, who has been steward at Glenaven for some years, and who is shortly leaving Dunedin.
