' As seen in the picture, these strikingly resemble in arrangement the circular prehistoric Indian pueblos uncovered by archaeologists in Now Mexico. The shape in both cases doubtless results from the same desire—to attain compactness and accessibility. Says ‘ Popular Mechanics ’ (Chicago): “Circular housing plans lor apartment buildings are finding favour in Germany. Tn a suburb of Leipzig an architect has constructed more than a, score of apartment buildings, built in three concentric circles to form one largo unit. The buildings are constructed in circular segments, and two common drives run diametrically through the settlement, with tributaries branching to the various buildings.”
