ZIKGARi-RIGHMOND CLUB The annual meeting of tho ZingariRichmond Club was held last evening, Mr R. C. Procter presiding over a large attendance of members. Circular letters were received irom tho Otago Rugby Football Union regarding the decision ol tho Rugby Football Union (Twickenham, England), that all bodies affiliated to too union should in In Lure adhere to tho rules set down by tho International Board, and that such dispensations as had been granted in tho past to Now Zealand Union would be withdrawn.— The Chairman said that they wore all aware that there wero unions in the dominion which did not adhere to the English Union’s rules. He was of the opinion that tho union's decision to enforce its rules throughout the Empire was a wise one.—Jhe matter was left to the incoming committee to deal with. Jn moving the adoption ol the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman said that during last season, the dub had placed four teams m tho field. Though no team had been successful in winning a flag, tho standard of play had been good. The president had done much to further the interests of the dub during tho season. The club had had a very successful social year. Ho had to congratulate the playing members on tho manner in which they had turned out to practices. The chairman referred to the honour which had fallen upon one of tho chib members, Mr R. C. Calder, who had been chosen to represent New Zealand in the diving championships at the Empire Games in Canada. In conclusion, tho chairman said ho was pleased to be ablo to state that the dub was in a sound financial position. Tho motion was seconded by Mr T. Kellan, who also spoke of tho excellent manner in which tho club’s affairs had been managed during tiro past year. The motion was carried.

Stewart, and 11. C. Procter; representative on Sports Protection Society, 3lr W. Titchcner; Accident Insurance Fund delegate, 3lr W. E, SlacLean; treasurer, Mr E. W. Procter; committee— Messrs W. Clements, G. Calder, E. Craneficld, R. C. Calder, R. Caradus, H. G. 3lunro, J. Garsidc, L. Heazlcwood, and - T. Blakely. Tho date for the opening of tho season was fixed for March 21. In accordance with his notice of motion, 31r H. G. 31nnro moved—- “ That the following danse bo added to rule 11: ‘ Elect a Colours and Caps Conunitto of three.’ ” 31 r 3lunro said that the object of the scheme was to give tho playing members something to strive for and _ something worth winning. Ho outlined the proposed rules governing the winning of colours and caps. Colours points would be awarded on,ly to players taking part in senior games arranged by tho Otago Rugby Football Union. All grades could compote for caps. Tt was also proposed to adopt a club blazer which any club member was entitled to wear.—Several questions were asked by members, and answered by 3lr 3lnnro. and tlio motion was "then put to tho meeting and carried.
