DIED FROM INJURIES. Word has been received by the Invercargill police from the manager of the Milford Hostel, that a man named R. A. Begg, who was seriously injured when descending Cascade Peak on Sunday, died there yesterday. PIG HUNTING FATALITY. Thomas Joseph Smith, aged twentyfour, of Spreydon, Christchurch, was fatally shot on Sunday during a pighunting expedition on Flax Hill Station, twenty-five miles from Kaikoura. She had been employed by Misa Fish for nine years. Recently she had complained -about her health. ‘She underwent an operation, and had since been depressed at times. . _ Edith-May Neale, employed by Miss Irish as companion, said she saw the deceased at 9.30 yesterday morning, when she was working in the house.
