IMPRISONED PROFESSOR
SPANISH STUDENTS’ PROTEST GENERAL STRIKE DECIDED ON Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MADRID, January 8. (Received January 9, at 10 a.m.) The students at the Madrid University havo decided on a general strike as a protest against the imprisonment of Professor Delos Rios, and others, as the result of tho recent revolt. The polico made the students show their identity cards when tho classes were resumed and forbade those nob carrying them to enter. Men and women students raised an uproar in tho corridors, where many remained instead of attending lectures, cheering the imprisoned professors.—London ‘ Times ’ cable.
