HOSPITAL AFFAIRS
Tho monthly meeting of the Hospital Board was hold last night, those present being Messrs W. E. S. Knight (chairman), J. W. Scurr, J. W. Dove, G. Gallaway, A. F Quelch, Mesdumcs Macdonald and Ross, and Miss Rnncimau.
Tho Director-General of Health forwarded the Ministerial approval to tho erection of a, nurses’ homo at tho Pleasant Valley Sanatorium. Applications by Freda Sydenham and David C. Peters for enrolment as massago students were noted. Tho Rev. W. D. More wrote inviting tho members of tho board to be present at the formal presentation of wireless receiving sets to tho Prince .Edward Children’s Convalescent Home and tho Infectious Diseases Hospital, the ceremony to take pjaco at 4YA on December 20. It was decided to remit accounts totalling £1,981 11s 4d for fees for maintenance in the Dunedin Hospital and the’ board’s various other institur tions.
The reports of the various committees were adopted without discussion, and at tho conclusion of tho meeting •lueleh extended tho compliments of tho season to tho chairman, who returned seasonal greetings to the members of tho board and all the members of the board’s staffs.
