PIGEON FLYING
The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a second flock- race from Wellington on December 6, au airline distance of 393 miles to central lofts;,- Sixty, birds, representing fifteen lofts)’ were liberated at 5.15 a.m; Flying’ conditions were not so good as for the first race, only three birds timing in on the Saturday, the others timing in early next morning. Eight places are allocated for Wellington races, and aro filled as follow:—J. Still’s Kai Ora (886.9) 1, A. Stevenson’s Osmonds (Sl'ul) 2, G. Coutt’s Playtime (813.7); 3, G. Contt’s Lady Lydia (586.3) 4, Aj Stevenson’s San Toss (577.3); 5, C,Gore’s No. 536 . (575.0) 6, J. Hardgrave’s Alto (568.9) 7, W. Hargreaves’f Nightmarch (562.7) 8.
