COMMISSIONER'S REPORT AMOUNT COLLECTED FOR YEAR Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. CANBERRA, December 18. (Received December 18, at 9 a.m.) ' The annual- repbft'of- ‘the Commonwealth Commissioner for Taxation states that the sales tax collections for the three months amounted to £1,068,000. The number t of income tax payers m the Commonwealth is 1 257,939, with taxable incomes amounting to £119,000,000. The amount of tax paid was £6,219,000. In addition 7,765 absentees were assessed £2,750,000 on a taxable income of almost £60,000,000.
