AMERICA AND CANADA DEVELOPMENT OF ASIATIC SERVICE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, December 12. (Received December 13, at 10 a.m.) Preliminary plans for aviation routes involving Europe and Asia were an-nounced'to-day following a conference between the Post Office officials of the United States and Canada, who discussed a scheme to develop tho route from Calgary (Alberta) into Alaska, thence to Asia, It was agreed that unless Canada and the United States joined in the development of _ the Asiastic route, serious competition might come from Russia in a_ few years. The Asiastic service is likely to bo inaugurated in three years. It was announced that a program me is now under way in tho United States to develop tho Atlantic air mail via Bermuda and tho Azores.
