GIBB—BEALE. Of interest to her many friends will bo the following account of tho wedding of Charlotte (Tot), only daughter of Mr and Mrs Georgo Darcy Beale, Maori Hill, to David Gibb, engineer, of the Monowai, only son of Mrs M'Kay, of Napier. The ceremony took place at the Presbyterian Church, Kilbirnie, Wellington, on November 24, the Bov. E. J. _ Orange officiating. The bride’s charming gown was of electric blue satin, with a wide hat and shoes to tone. After tho ceremony a reception was held at Maranui, the homo of Mrs _ Matthew Toward, the bride’s cousin. The guests were received by the bride’s mother, whose frock was of navy georgette handsomely embroidered in blue and gold. The usual toasts were honoured and numerous telegrams read from. absent friends of tho young couple. Tho bride’s going-away suit was a smartly-tailored brown ensemble, with hat and shoes to tone. GARSIDE—STEWART. A pretty and .quiet wedding was solemnised at tho residence of the bride’s mother, Balclutba, on Wednesday afternoon, when Reina, only daughter of Mrs and tho late Mr G. D. Stewart, was married to Charles Joseph, youngest son of Mr Josepn and the lato Mrs Garside, of Dunedin. The bride wore a becoming frock of blue French crepe do chine, beige hat, gloves, stockings, and shoes on suite, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white flowers, while sho also wore a spray of orange blossom. Miss Audrey Stewart, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and was attired in a dress of coral pink Swiss embroidery, with hat to tone. Her bouquet was of pink flowers. Mr Harry Pithie, of Dunedin, was best man, and Rev. Roy Alley, M.A., was tho officiating minister. At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests ,sat down to a wedding repast, during tho course of which the usual toasts were honoured, and a number of congratulatory telegrams read. Mrs Stewart, the bride’s mother, was attired in black repp. The happy couple later left for the north . per motor, the bride travelling in a dress of brown satin, with hat to match, and a black satin coat. Tho presents received were numerous, and bore tribute to the esteem in which the young couple are held by their many friends. WILSON—KIRKL AN D. Tho wedding of Miss Isabel ’ Hazel Kirkland to Dr Stanley Livingstone Wilson attracted.a very largo gathering of friends and well-wishers to tho Maori Hill Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening. Miss Kirkland is the daughter of Mrs I. Kirkland, of Burwood avenue, and the late William Kirkland, and Dr Wilson, who is a popular member on tho medical staff of the Dunedin Hospital Board, is the son of Mr Robert Wilson and the late Mrs Wilson, of Dannevirke. The church, with its masses of Japanese poppies in varying shades, made a conspicuous background for tho colourful Trucking of the bridal entourage. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Dr R. Church, wore an exquisite gown of ivory Brussels lace and georgette.

Designed with long, tight-fitting lace sleeves falling to a point over the hands, tho lace and beaded bodice of the gown fitted snugly to below the hip line, where two flared flounces of ivory georgette cascaded to tlia feet, from which peeped dainty ivory satin slippers. The waist-lino was marked by a narrow band of georgette finished at the front with a Rhinestone buckle, and to tho neck-line was worn a Maltese cross of diamonds, an heirloom from her grandmother. A handsome veil of Brussels net bordered by a heavy hem of real Brussels lace, which had belonged to her great-grandmother, was con lined to tho head by a narrow circlet of orange blossom, and fell in graceful IVjtds to a long train. She carried a shower bouquet _of white summer blooms flushed with pink, and round her neck }vas worn « long necklace of tiny seed pearls. Sho was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Patricia Stronach and Miss Peggy Mandeuo, who were attired in ankle-length high-waisted frocks of verdigris satin under smart short coatees of tho same shade, and largo hats, dropping at tho sides, of crepe de chine in a darker tone and satin, and green crepe do chine shoes. '.They carried bouquets of Iceland poppies and marigolds, from which green satin streamers fluttered, and wore necklaces of amber, the gifts of the bridegroom. Tho Rev. A. C. W. Standage performed tho ceremony. Dr Strang attended the bridegroom in the capacity of best man, and Mr Ray Kirk in that of groomsman, Dr Harold Wilson and Mr Eric Gibbs being the ushers. A reception was held in the Somerset Lounge, whene Mrs Kirkland received and entertained tho guests. Mrs Kirkland wore a smart model gown of black French crepe de chine handsomely adorned with silver lace, and a picture hat to tone, and sho carried a bouquet of dark red roses. For going away tho bride chose a chic three-piece model suit of navy and white spotted crepe de chine and a large hat of navy silk straw underlined with similar material to that of her frock, and a brown musquash coat, with lizard skin shoes.
