Black) was a’ passenger by the express this morning for Wellington on business connected with the Unemployment Board. The Rev. L. -A. and Mrs North travelled to Christchurch by this maraing’s express. Mr W. E. S. Knight left for W#?lington this morning to attend a meet* . ing of the Hospital Boards’ Executive, Mr S. J. The individual this time is Dr Kennth MTndoe, one of the sods of the late Mr John MTndoe, of Dunedin, who has been practising in London. as a specialist in plant genetics, and has now aeepted a coveted appointment in Liberia. The Minister of Defence announces that Captain K. L. Stewart, N.Z.S.C., has been appointed a staff officer to the Ceylon Defence Force, as the result of negotiations between tbo Now Zealand Government and the Colonial Office.
