Moloney by 156 votes to 124; for Caversham Mr William Bridgman polled 197 votes and Mr William Bragg 153; and for West Harbour Mr Norman Wood received 120 votes and Mr Thomas De Lacy 43, « * # * Mr W, Hutchison, M.H.R., was reelected Mayor of Wellington by a substantial majority. * « w * Latest intelligence from the Cape states that 1,500 colonials repulsed 5,000 Basutos.
