The ' Daily Herald’s ’ lobby correspondent says that an agreement at the Imperial Conference is likely to be reached on tho basis of the stabilisation of tho existing preferences for perhaps two or three years, while the question of Imperial trade reciprocity will be further explored in the meantime by a conference which will meet in Canada early next year. THE WHEAT QUOTA CANADIANS NOT ENTHUSIASTIC. WINNIPEG, November 6. (Received November 7, at 10.10 a.m.) The endorsement by the Imperial Conference committee of the quota plan for the purchase of wheat aroused little enthusiasm at tho Wheat Pool Convention. Several of the leading delegates stated that the scheme was laid before them months ago by an official of the British Marketing Board. No benefits to Canadian wheat growers were seen.
