News from Columbia (Ohio) states that officials of the Sunday Creek Coal Company on Wednesday night announced that twenty-sis men ware rescued alive from No. 6 mine, near Millfteld, where an explosion entombed 1(50 men. Six of those who were rescued are in a serious condition from gas poisoning. Eighteen bodies have been recovered. The and the vicepresident of the, company were on a tour of inspection at the time of the explosion* and are thought to be dead, DOCTORS RUSHED TO SCENE. NEW YORK, November 6. Late on Wednesday night physicians were rushed into the mine ’to treat twenty survivors of the blast, which is thought to have taken more than 100 lives. Most of those who have been rescued are reported to be in a serious condition from gas. Twenty bodies have already been recovered. SEVENTY-SIX DEATHS.' NEW YORK, November 6. (Received November 7, at 10 a.m.) A Millfield (Ohio) report states that the complete death roll is seventy-six, with a possibility of further deaths from injuries. The dead include all the members or the official inspection party, among the number being Mr William Titus (president of the Sunday, Creek Company).
