SATURDAY’S BIG ATTRACTION

Weather permitting, the postponed grass track motor cycle sports and track and field meet, under the auspices of tin* (Kayo Centro (N.Z.A.A.A.) and the Otago Motor Club, will bo held at the Caledonian flround on Saturday afternoon, and there should bo some thrilling and .spectacular sport, especially as the tricky bends at the Caledonian Cvoum! require considerable skill to negotiate. The loading amateur motor cycle riders of Otago and Southland will take part, and it is exexpected that high speeds will bo attained on Saturday. The running events will be well contested, and the relay over a mile should bo one of the most exciting events on the programme. A competitor in the long jump will be R. 0. Jolly, who did '2lft lli-in at the Boys’ Hit'll School sports last, week, and who is undoubtedly the champion schoolboy jumper of Xcw Zealand. The cycling events are hound to bo keenly contested, ami with as many as twentylive and thirty riders in some races there should be some spirited finishes.
