THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A parcel of New Zealand Breweries changed hands on the Stock Exchange this morning at £2 6s, but no other business was reported or recorded. Bank of New Zealands wore wanted at £2 15s 6d, cum. dividend, but were without Boilers. A buyer of Commercials and one of National of New Zealand at 17s and £5 8s respectively, were also without selling support. For -E.S. and'-A. Banks £5 lls was offered, but (sellers would not take less than £6 4s. There was still a seller of Westports at £1 10s who was answered by a buyer at £1 Bs, and Kaitangatas were again wanted at 2s 6d discount without sellers. For Donaghy’s Rope and Twines £1 12s 6d was offered without sellers quoting. After the sale of New Zealand Breweries, the market closed with a further buyer at £2 4s 6d, but no sellers. Buyers of Mount Lydia improved io £1 Os 3d, and a seller offered to quit at £1 Is. 1 Sale on ’Change.—New Zealand Breweries, £2 ss.

The Dunedin Stock Agents and Wool Brokers’ Association reports as follows ; The fortnightly sheepskin sale was held yesterday, when. medium-sized catalogues sold under wide competition from a full bench of buyers, in spite of this, half-bred full-woolled firstpelted skins showed a drop of -id per lb, while the drop in cross-bred was nearer a halfpenny. Medium skins of all classes were keenly competed for at from par to id less than last sale’s rates. Sound skins sold at Horn par to id less, while dead and damaged showed a drop of id to id on last sale’s rates. GOLDEN PROGRESS MINE, A report from the manager of the Golden Progress Quartz Mme ? dated November 3, states that during the! past month a total of 56ft was driven and cross-cut. Of this distance 17ft was in reef. At 62|ft west of the shaft the cross-cut intercepted the reef,which was 22in wide and enclosed in solid walls, which are dipping south. The quartz is heavily impregnated with sulphides, and dish tests show' free gold over the 17ft driven in the reef width. Value has been maintained as the drive is being extended towards the winze, in which a block of rich stone is proved over a length of 127 ft. Proof will shortly be available as to whether the west shoot of ore is part of the mam reef, which, is now being driven on or a now shoot never before discovered and worked. , . A considerable amount of work uaa been done on the surface plant, and a. blower, .driven by an oil engine, is providing the ventilating current for the underground workings. MOTUROA OIL FIELDS. The report of the Moturoa Oil Fields Ltd. for the week ended. November h states that the Moturoa well is drilled to 2,715 ft in sandy shale and thin streaks of sandstone. The well flowed 560 gallons of oil from 2,300 ft, also hailed 575 gallons of oil and about 10Q gallons of salt water from 2,715 ft. BUTTER AND CHEESE.
