SYDNEY CITIZENS SWELTER Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, November 4. The citizens of Sydney have sweltered for tho past twenty-four hours. Last night was tho hottest for sixteen years, tho temperature at 10 o’clock being 81deg. Again this morning there was'a. fierce sun, with a hot wind. The temperature at 9 o’clock was S9deg, and it remained in the eighties all day. High temperatures and blinding dust wore experienced in South Australia and Victoria yesterday, with storms at night and the atmosphere heavily charged with dust, which spoiled clothing and did considerable damage to property.
