KAIKORAI VALLEY ROAD
TO TUB EDITOE. Sir, —In your issue of Saturday, under the heading ‘ In Deplorable State— Kaikorai Valley Road,’ you quote as follows from tho annual report of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers’ Association :—“ Among the works completed are tho widening of tho Littlebourne road, the Kaikorai Valley road, the Falcon street steps, and Highgate at Columba Coihge” In fairness to my association, would you kindly publish the following extract from the report read by the president at tho annual meeting?: ‘‘Kaikorai -Valley road widening: Several properties have been acquired by the City Council along the route of the widening, and when the desired works loan is sanctioned by the ratepayers this big work will bo one that will bo expedited.” In making a condensed copy of the report your reporter has probably inadvertently included tho Kaikorai Valley road amongst tho list of completed works.— I am, etc., A. D. SUTHEHI/AND, Hon. See. Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers’ Association. October 13.
