Tho absent-minded professor finished his meal, and, after settling the bill with the waiter, he turned his attention to a book. Presently the Waiter approached him again, and coughed nervously. “ You’ll pardon me, sir,’ he said, “hut the money you gave me for the bill does not include anything for tho waiter.” Doesn’t it ” the professor murmured, without looking up. “I didn’t know I had eaten one.”
