BASIC WAGE
REDUCTION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA UNOFFICIAL STATEMENT. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. ADELAIDE, October 12. It is unofficially stated that the South Australian Board of Industry has decided that the metropolitan basic wage shall be reduced from 14s 3d to 12s 6d daily, or from £4 6s 6d to £3 15s weekly. Twenty thousand workers are affected.
