RIFLE SHOOTING

KIWI DEFENCE CLUB

The second competition of the President’s Match and the Huntley Cup, held by the Kiwi Defence Rifle Club over 300 and 600 yards (ten shots and two optional sighters), was fired on Saturday, Despite adverse weather conditions some good scores were registered, notably those by Rifleman C. M'Keich (47 at 300yds) and Rifleman W. Mills (47 at 600yds). There were twentyseven members in attendance, among the. number being several members Of the. Territorial- Porce Reserve. The final competition will be fired next Saturday over 500 and 600 yards (ten shots and two optional sighters), and-a close finish is predicted. The following are the highest scores: —
