CHARITY BALL
Although there still remain a few days until the night of the charity ball the committee responsible for the various arrangements has everything completed for the holding of the function. No effort has been spared to make the ball an assured success, _ the supper, decorations, and music being all on an elaborate scale. The list of debutantes comprises the names of thirty young women who will be presented to the Bishop of Christchurch (Dr Brodie). The suitability of the Town Hall for the hplding of a ball on the scale intended goes _ without saying, _ and all those attending can be certain of an excellent night’s enjoyment. Mr Arthur Gordon’s special band will supply the music for the occasion.
