Captain Matthews, who yesterday left Croydon on a solo flight to Australia, flew non-stop to. Belgrade., His average speed was 115 miles per hour, and he is continuing to-day via Stamboul and Aleppo. MOVEMENTS UNCERTAIN. SOFIA, September 17. (Received September 18, at 12.30 p.m.) Captain Matthews has. not yet arrived. it is reported that, he landed at Belgrade last night and proposed going to Aleppo in the morning, but no definite confirmation of his arrival or departure from Belgrade has been received.
