PERSIAN ART TREASURES EXHIBITION IN LONDON (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 15. In preparation for the exhibition of Persian art treasures, which is to be opened at Burlington House, London, nest January, thirty cases of art treasures were last week despatched by the Persian Government iu four aeroplanes from Teheran, and will be brought to London in a British vessel. Many of tho treasures are beyond price, and are of great beauty and historic interest. They include a circular silk carpet from the golden mosque at Khum (which is of fabulous value), many other carpets centuries old, of exquisite workmanship and design, numerous examples of jewel-encrusted armour and clothing, and precious ornaments, including silver vessels possessed by Haroun-Al-Raschid, the Arabian Nights Caliph. A collection of Persian manuscripts, including several of the Koran, and specimens of porcelain and brocade, are also being sent, and are hardly less valuable and interesting.
