VISIT TO ENGLAND
HEAD OF LAW DRAFTING DEPARTMENT
[Snail, to the ’Star.’] WELLINGTON, September 17. The permanent head of the Government Law 1 Drafting Department (Mr J. Christie) left Auckland yesterday for England, wjiere it i's_ understood he will link up with the New Zealand delegation to the Imperial Conference and render legal assistance in connection with its work. The main object of the visit, however, arises out of a contract entered into by the Government with Buttenvorth, Ltd., for the publication of an annotated edition of the New Zealand Statutes. Mr Christie will confer in London with Lutterworth's editorial staff.
