The Gulf Stream, the great ocean current which, according to navigntois observations, is tending to shut westward, gets its name from the Gnu or Mexico. It is caused by the westward moving waters of the South Atlantic coming in contact with the eastward projection of South America, the resn t being two great currents, the Gull Stream being the one which sets northward.
