TO-NIGHT'S NEW ZEALAND PMfiRAMES At IYA there will be instrumental selections by Reg. Morgan’s Orchestra, including violin solos by Mr I* rank Parsons, a piccolo solo by Mr Lharles Hoffman, and baritone solos, by Mr Reg. Morgan. Two other vocalists to appear on the programme will be Miss Nellie Lingard (contralto) and Miss Reta M'Cullay (Scottish soprano). Humour will be supplied by the Asquiths in their ‘Twenty-minute Drawing Room Entertainment. The programme will continue with dance music by Reg. Morgan’s Orchestra until 11. .... , Tho “Music Week” broadcasts continue from 2YA. To-night there will be an oratorio programme, when Haydn’s 1 Tho Creation ’ will be relayed from the Town Hall. The choir performs under the baton of Mr H. Temple White, and will have associated with it as soloists Miss Myra Sawyer, Mr Roy Hill, and Mr IVm. Waters.

The 2YA Orchestrina, augmented for the occasion, will provide the orchestral accompaniment. . 3YA will bo broadcasting on relay from the Civic Theatre the presentation in concert form of Donizetti s opera, * Lucia di Lammermoor,’ by the Royal Christchurch Musical Society. The conductor and musical director will be Mr W. H. Dixon, L.R.A.M., A.R.C.M The opera will be presented with chorus and orchestra. The principal characters, with their English names and the players »n Christchurch, are:—Lucy, Madame Kate Campion (soprano, of Auckland); Alice, Miss Gladys Ferguson (mezzosoprano, of Christchurch); Sir Edgar Ravenswood, Mr A. Wahnsley (tenor, of Dunedin); Lord Arthur Bucklaw, Mr Sydney Andrews (tenor, of Christchurch) ; Sir Henry Ashton, Mr Chas, Clarkson (baritone, of Ashburton), Raymond (Chaplin), Mr T. D. Williams (bass, of Christchurch).
