OTAGO ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS ST. CLAIR AGAIN VICTORIOUS COUNTRY CHILDREN IN FORM Tlio Otago Stato Primary School Sports Association’s annual championship meeting was concluded on Saturday afternoon at Logan Park. The keen racing and enthusiasm which was so apparent in the morning was maintained during -the afternoon. St. Clair was again successful; in carrying off the shield given to the school gaining most points in the championship events. The St. Clair team won the shield with 36 points, while Albany Street gained; 19 points. An outstanding feature of the day’s events was the performance of the country ■ children. The visitors were particularly prominent in the jumping events. • During the afternoon a spectacular display was given by 2,000 senior pupils, under the direction of Mr Rovdhouse.- The St. Kilda Band was also in attendance, and rendered some enjoyable selections.
